Tropical Storm Hanna

The names Hanna or Hannah have been used to name multiple tropical storms.

Atlantic storms

• 1959's Hurricane Hannah - a strong hurricane that was only a threat to shipping.
• Tropical Storm Hanna (2002) – a storm that made landfall in the United States.
• Hurricane Hanna (2008) – Category 1 storm that caused over 500 deaths in Haiti before traveling up the eastern U.S. coast in September 2008.

Pacific storms

The name was also used for four tropical cyclones in the Pacific Ocean:

• 1947's Tropical Storm Hannah (Japan Meteorological Agency analyzed it as a tropical depression, not as a tropical storm.)
• 1997's Tropical Storm Hannah (01W, Atring, Japan Meteorological Agency analyzed it as a tropical depression, not as a tropical storm.) - an early-season storm that approached the Philippines, but died out before affecting land.
• 2007's Tropical Storm Lekima (T0714, 16W, Hanna) - a storm that made landfall in Northern Vietnam. This storm was called Hanna by PAGASA.
• 2011's Tropical Storm Tokage (T1107, 09W, Hanna)

Other uses

• The Disney preteen sensation of the second half of the 2000s, Hannah Montana (character) (Miley Cyrus) has often been dubbed Hurricane Hannah, most prominently in an October 18, 2007 article in Time Magazine.
• Bob Hannah, one of the most successful American motocross racers, uses the nickname "Hurricane Hannah".
